Il y a 7 ans, la galerie marchande dans laquelle nous sommes aujourd’hui vivait des jours tristes. Plusieurs boutiques avaient fermé, l’ambiance semblait devenir morose. Mais plutôt que de regarder ce vide s’installer, nous avons choisi d’agir.
Nous avons alors proposé au nouveau propriétaire, Sébastien de Hulster, de la foncière Bellevilles et DeWatou, un pari un peu fou : mettre un local à disposition pour accompagner des porteurs de projets. L’idée était simple : un local occupé, c’est mieux pour la galerie toute entière, pour tous les autres commerçants, cela attire le regard, le passage… et donne envie. Et ça a marché.
Grâce à cette confiance, cette première boutique éphémère a vu le jour. Comme son nom l’indique, c’est d’abord une boutique. Très vite, de nombreux porteurs de projet sont venus s’y tester, expérimenter, rêver aussi, accompagnés par le PTCE.
Puis un premier local a été occupé, parmi ceux qui étaient vides dans la galerie jusqu’à ce que la boutique éphémère soit relogée tout au fond de la galerie… Et aujourd’hui ? Toutes les boutiques sont occupées.
Cette semaine, avec l’inauguration de la librairie solidaire Aptimots de Mur’Envol, que nous avons eu la joie d’accompagner, nous arrivons au terme de notre mission. La boucle est bouclée.
L’autre mot du titre, c’est “éphémère” : quelque chose qui ne dure pas. Ephémère pour les porteurs de projet, car ce lieu leur propose une phase de test, comme un tremplin, une étape avant de trouver où s’installer ailleurs. Ephémère aussi pour le PTCE, car l’accord avec le propriétaire, c’était bien d’occuper ce local pendant le temps où la galerie était trop vide.
Alors aujourd’hui, je veux dire un immense merci.
Merci à Sébastien, pour sa confiance et ce véritable cadeau : la mise à disposition de ce local pendant 5 années.
Merci aux porteurs de projets pour leur audace, leur créativité, leur courage.
Pour beaucoup, cette expérience aura permis de toucher du doigt la réalité du métier de commerçant, sans s’endetter ni s’enliser dans un bail trop long.
Et oui, parfois, changer de voie après 3 mois, ce n’est pas un échec, c’est une réussite !
D’autres ont trouvé leur chemin ailleurs : sur internet, sur les marchés… Et ça aussi, c’est une victoire, bravo à eux.

Merci à Laurent du PTCE, fidèle au poste, qui a tenu cet espace au quotidien.
Et merci à Anne-Denise et toute l’équipe du PTCE, toujours là pour animer, inventer, mobiliser – que ce soit pour la foire aux disques ou les ateliers enfants du mercredi.
Alors oui, ce soir, c’est un clap de fin.
Mais l’aventure ne s’arrête pas là. Puisque nous venons d’avoir la confirmation que les porteurs de projets peuvent rester jusqu’à l’arrivée des nouveaux locataires
Nous avons semé, accompagné, appris… Et très certainement, une nouvelle boutique éphémère va éclore ailleurs.
